Hey there Pretty Birds,
We’re all about J.Lo lately: since her new album “A.K.A.” came out on June 13 (featuring collaborations with French Montana, Iggy Azalea, Rick Ross, Nas, Jack Mizrahi and Tyga) we’ve been playing on repeat the single “First Love” here at the ATPB headquarters, and have also been watching the sexy video that stars stunning J.Lo alongside yummy model David Gandy…
It’s been fourteen years since La Lopez walked down the red carpet of the 42nd Grammy Awards in that exotic green Versace silk chiffon dress with plunging neckline, but to us she’s still Jenny from the block (when we were younger we tried to copy her moves from her “Get Right” video, but never managed to get them quite right). We remember her bad-girl days and her romance with Puff Daddy: the drama, the matching rapper outfits, the fights. And then came the good-girl days with boyfriend Ben Affleck, their “Bennifer” moment, the 6.1 carat pink sapphire engagement ring from Harry Winston and his cameo appearance on her “Jenny From the Block” video. Then came the wedding to Chris Judd and the seven years wedding to long time friend Marc Anthony, who seemed the perfect match for a family and children, but that didn’t really work out in the end. She recently split from 27 year old choreographer Casper Smart, after two and a half years of dating. Rumours have it that David Gandy’s the one who’s (understandably) in her heart right now…
Apart from very public romances, she’s an incredible business woman, a great dancer, a caring mother of two beautiful twins and has the sweetest voice when she speaks. She’s established herself in both the film and the music industry, she is a producer, has developed various clothing lines as well as accessories and fragrances, and founded the charitable foundation “Lopez Family Foundation”, dedicated to improving the health and well-being of women and children. She’s a global pop-culture icon and always makes a great come-back. If we’ll achieve half of the things she achieved when we turn 44 (she’ll turn 45 on July 24), we’d be more than happy. She’s real, genuine, a good Puerto Rican girl from the Bronx (turned multi-millionaire).
So don’t be fooled by the rocks that she got.
