Last night Swarovski celebrated the opening of its first Italian Flagship Store here in Milan with a “Stardust” filled event.
Located right in the heart of Milan, literally a minute walk from San Babila, the new space which was conceptualized as a “Crystal Forrest” by the brand’s architects is brilliantly laid out on three floors: 1) jewelry 2) jewelry and other accessories 3) larger more important crystal objects.
When you walk in, your eyes immediately travel to a cascade of crystals hanging from the top floor that resemble the branches of a dew-covered willow tree bathed in sunlight. A direct nod to nature and all things green as the boutique was designed with sustainability in mind.
And that’s how the evening’s experience began: walking into the crystal forest, being enchanted by the branches of a magnificent tree that reflected rays of shimmering light upon an array of pretty brilliant things, every where you turned, in beautiful display cases, up and down glass staircases, in the stunning faces of celebrity guests like Eva Herzigova, the evening’s host, Tea Falco, Alessandra Mastronardi, Rossella Brescia, Melissa Satta, and Giulio Berruti, whose collective allure fused magically with the main protagonist of the evening, The Swarovski “Stardust” collection. If you’re not familiar with the range, please discover it here.
Sounds amazing right? Well after absorbing the sheer brilliance of it all, I personally wasn’t sure if I was (1) tipsy from the continual refilling of my champagne glass, (2) hypnotized by the fantastic shimmer of the boutique or (3) if I had entered into a blue – hued crystallized zone induced by the awesome tunes being played by the very talented DJ, Princess Scilla Ruffo di Calabria. Her set was so good that, at one point, I turned to Giulia and announced that I was ready to go dancing. Not to worry though, as each guest was gifted a little pouch of Stardust as they exited the party. I used mine to dream of dancing the night away under glistening crystal stars.
But wait, the fun doesn’t stop there. This morning Swarovski Italy launched a contest with the aim of giving away 10 Stardust bracelets a day. If you’re in Italy and want to shimmer check out the contest http://conteststardust.swarovskiitalia.it/.
Kisses and don’t forget to shine!
