SPLURGE FRIDAYS – BETHAN GRAY’S CHEESEBOARD AND DOME
Hello Pretty Birds,
I was having a look around La Rinascente last weekend for some new cute design pieces for my kitchen when I laid my eyes on Bethan Gray’s outstanding Alice cheeseboard and dome. It was a parting-heavens-accompanied-by-liturgical-music moment for me. Doesn’t it look like something straight out of an Alice in Wonderland fantasy? I think that it’s so gorgeous, you?
Perfect for the kitchen or dining room table – imagine it with a pair of Manolo Blahnik’s perched delicately under the dome! That would make for one dreamy centerpiece!
It’s white and black marble table top is inspired by the black and white stone configurations of historical buildings across Europe (from the ninth-century Amalfi Cathedral in Italy to the twentieth-century San Giovanni Battista in Mogno, Switzerland) and was originally created for Wallpaper* Magazine Handmade exhibition in Milan back in 2013.
What do you think, should we get it? And what would you put under the dome?
