In celebration of its 45th Anniversary, the Modenese luxury handbags house Parmeggiani asked stylists Enrica Ponzellini, Eva Fontanelli and Viviana Volpicella, journalist J.J. Martin and myself to design our ideal bag. Made out of crocodile, Parmeggiani’s specialty, our Fab5 squad came up with a range of bags that reflect many different styles.
Each of us worked with Parmeggiani’s highly skilled artisans to create our own little (Enrica) or big (J.J.) master piece. I dreamt up a backpack because I have been looking for “The One” for ages. My idea of perfection, it’s comes in a rich olive/sage hue, features a back pocket to store a smart phone and other small objects, is lined in pale, pink ostrich and includes a small pouch and other storage compartments for essentials like lip balm and hand lotion.
And addition to designing my bag, I had the honor of photographing the official images for the collaboration. Please have a look at the gallery as each capsule designer is featured with her handbag.
Made in Italy for 45 years, Parmegianni was founded in the 1970’s by Franco and Wilma Parmeggiani. With the couple’s knowledge of the industry and the impeccable work of their expert artisans, the boutique luxury handbags label quickly established an impressive presence for itself in Italy and internationally. Today you can find the brand in Russia, Japan, United States, Germany, France, Korea and China.
Love the bags? You can special order them on J.J.’s e-commerce site LaDoubleJ. Isn’t that fabulous? Happy Monday!!!
