Our 10 Favourite SS2016 Hairstyles
By Michela Marra
Hey Pretty Girls,
How about getting a head start as far as summer trends go? We’ve listed 10 hairstyles that we absolutely loved and can’t wait to try!
Braids – Cristiano Burani
Section off your hair and shape into braids of different sizes. We really like this girly hairstyle because it is actually very comfortable.
The high chignon – Isola Marras
Hair is gathered up high and twisted into a bun. Enhance the look by adding a sparkly barrette. This hairstyle is perfect for an important evening.
Pink Bangs – Louis Vuitton
Lightly crimped pink hair adds a touch of 80’s appeal to this punk chic hairstyle. We really love the long bangs that hide the forehead. Perfect for those who dare to be bold.
Short Hair – Louis Vuitton
Dual lengths for this extreme, boyish pixie cut. Who’s afraid of the cold?
Long and Accessorized – N°21
Long hair is styled to look natural and slightly flat. Details that make the difference? A hairband embellished with shiny stones will create allure and have you looking like a true princess.
Mid-length, wavy hair with bangs – Alexander Wang
The wavy, slightly voluminous hair trend has now pretty much become a classic. Variations on the theme as seen on models at Alexander Wang were among our favourites, with bangs of different lengths displaying how versatile this hairstyle actually is.
Accessories – Rodarte
Of all the accessories worn by models, the ones we were most intrigued by were those at Rodarte. Their vintage elegance was perfectly paired with bracelets, earrings and rings.
Small Braids – Valentino
We’ve already mentioned how much we love the hairstyle created by Guido Palau. All we can do now is encourage you to try it out!
Small Braids – Vanessa Seward
In keeping with the theme of small braids, what do you think of this updo? We find it essential and perfect for important occasions. The small braids are done diagonally, which might be less challenging if left to expert hands.
Updo – Veronique Leroy
A bit more complex to create but definitely original! Section off hair into two parts, twist and then distribute as illustrated in the photo. Let us know if you are able to replicate the look!
