Hey there Pretty Birds,
What have you been up to last night? We’ve been busy on Instagram following the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio and Jared Leto at the inaugural Gala of the Leonardo Di Caprio Foundation at Domain Bertraud Belieu in St. Tropez. The star-filled evening included performances by Robin Thicke, a dj set by Paul Oakenfold, a performance by Bono and Julian Lennon (they sang “Standy By Me” on stage), and very special guests including Jared Leto, Cara Delevigne, Selena Gomez, the Dsquared2 twins and supermodels Natasha Poly and Petra Nemcova. Who really stole the show was Leo’s new girlfriend, 22 year old German model Toni Garrn, that showed up in a dazzling Elie Saab emerald green dress. She really was the belle of the ball.
The Leonardo Di Caprio Foundation, founded in 1998, is dedicated to protect Earth’s last wild places and to find solutions for a more “harmonious” relationship between humanity and the natural world. The twenty five million dollars that were raised last night (just FYI – a Damien Hirst sculpture sold for over $6 million and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle signed by DiCaprio, Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro went for over $673,000) will support efforts to protect our oceans, forests, wild lands and endangered species. Isn’t that a great reason to have a party? We think so.
