Black Lives MatterIn the news this week By Team ATPB

With the state of current affairs in the US and around the world, we’re staying up to date on as much news as we can. Like many of you, we devour everything that is published on the Trump administration in an effort to keep informed about its horrible policies and so that we can share them with everyone we know (read about them every month in Nia’s “F*ck Donald Trump” series). Here’s a list of the articles and headlines about Trump and beyond that caught our attention this weekend. Check back every Monday and Friday for weekly updates. And, please share any articles that catch your attention, because sharing information is one of the most important things you can do at this moment.

The mother of an 8-year-old Ohio boy who killed himself after she says he was bullied at school pledges to speak out on his behalf.

Theresa May says cyber-attack that crippled U.K. hospitals is global.
Hospitals across the country have been hit by a “ransomware” attack that froze computers, shutting wards, closing emergency rooms and bringing treatment to a halt. The infected computer screens demand payment for the data to be released. May says there is no evidence that patient data has been compromised.
Black Lives Matter Groups Are Bailing Black Women Out of Jail for Mother’s Day
The Mother’s Day effort is meant to call attention to how the money bail system (in which an arrested person is kept in jail awaiting trial unless they can pay a hefty bail) disproportionately affects black families and communities.
