Hey there Pretty birds,
Here is a good piece of fashion news to start the new year – French couture house Vionnet has announced today that Hussein Chalayan will be designing its Demi Couture Line (now at its third season). The collection will be unveiled next February during Paris’ Haute Couture Fashion Week.
The British Turkish-Cypriot designer, famous for its avant-garde designs that mix fashion with science, technology and architecture, has worked closely with Goga Ashkenazi, Vionnet’s creative director and president, to bring his “magic touch” (as Goga defines it) to the line. Chalayn’s SS14 collection, “Breeze Corridor” was characterized by smart and sensual pieces, stripes, wrap-towel effect dresses and pantone color feathers… We were so excited about it when we saw it, and are very much looking forward to see how he will work his genius-creativity into Vionnet. Not long to go now.
