Wow! This is all we can say. WWD reported this morning that Christopher Bailey, the Chief Creative Officer that brought the cool back into the Burberry brand, is to be appointed its CEO. Angela Arhendts, the current CEO, will leave her position in mid-2014.
We have learned that she is heading to Apple, following the steps of Paul Deneve, the former Saint Laurent CEO that joined the California based company last summer. Following her departure, Mr. Bailey, who joined the company in 2001, will take charge. Talk about role change. We are excited! To learn more about Bailey’s appointment, have a look below at a video that Burberry posted on its Youtube channel following the announcement. AND please let us know your thoughts.
