Cheers to Pinko’s New Porto Cervo Boutique! By Tamu McPherson
Last week Pinko treated me and an amazing group of other bloggers to an experience in Porto Cervo, Sardinia in celebration of the brand’s new boutique in the beach-side town.
The first part of the experience included a stay at Cala di Volpe Hotel, one of the most exclusive hotels on Costa Smeralda. To get a real sense of the mood of Porto Cervo, bloggers Xenia Tchoumitcheva, Tamara Kalinic, Sandra Hagelstam, Emilie Higle, Audrey Leighton Rogers, Paulien Riemis and I were invited to immerse ourselves in the glamorous atmosphere of the hotel and surrounding attractions. I confess here that I arrived in the stunning beach-side town with preconceived notions. Influenced by my Italian friends, I thought that it would be over-the-top with flashy visitors spending copious amounts of Euro left and right. But as often is the case, I was very much stroke by the natural beauty of the seaside resort’s dégradé turquoise waters and sandy beaches.
Day Two included a lovely boat trip to the beach and a yummy, fresh seafood lunch at one of the local beach-front restaurants. Later that day, Pinko staged a runway show featuring looks from the Fall/Winter 15-16 collection. The collection is currently in stores and offers a ton of super looks.
In addition to the runway show, Pinko organized individual photo shoots for each blogger with Vincenzo Grillo, one of my favorite street style photographers and colleague.
Gorgeous scenery, amazing style, fantastic company (we laughed so much, we had to be taken to the ladies room in a golf cart before we tinkled in our dresses, leave it alone, you had to be there and I can’t share it here ;-)) makes for an emerald green experience!
Have a great weekend and visit Pinko, Porto Cervo soon!
