Brown Tones in Diego Dalla Palma’s 2015/16 Makeup Collection
By Michela Marra
Hey Pretty Birds,
We checked out some new products from Diego Dalla Palma’s 2015/16 Fall-Winter makeup collection at the brand’s legendary store location in via Madonnina, in the heart of Milan’s renowned Brera neighbourhood. Makeup artist Luciano welcomed us and went on to create a soft but sensual makeup look for our very own Roki.
Luciano prepped Roki’s skin by using some Highlighter Booster + Primer to fix makeup and illuminate the face. Correttore Stick concealer in 02 was used to correct small imperfections (not really a concealer), and was applied as if to intentionally outline a triangle between the eye contour and the nose. Roki’s complexion is dark, so to ensure it was even, the makeup artist chose Fondotinta Make Up Studio n.25 full coverage foundation.
Once the base was ready, efforts were focused on the eyes: brown eyeliner was applied along the upper lid and then blended. Urban Jungle Duo Eyeshadow n°25 brown powder was spread across the eyelid while Fondente Long Lasting Eyeliner n°31, in dark brown was used to redefine lashes at their base. Eyebrows were emphasized using Long Lasting Universal Eyebrow Marker N°17. Finally, eyebrows were combed and set using eyebrow gel. Obviously, our makeup artist could not forget to apply some mascara, and opted for one of our favourite products, Ciglione.
Next, Luciano worked on the cheekbones and cheeks. Beauty addicts know that no beauty case is complete without an illuminator like Highlighter Booster + Primer, which we mentioned earlier. It gives cheekbones a touch of light. Cheeks were brought to life using Polvere Blush Multicolor n°72, which includes four shades: bordeaux, terracotta, pink, and orange.
The final step in this makeover involved Roki’s lips. Not surprisingly, our makeup artist simply had to choose the Fall collection’s must have product, the Fondente Lipstick n°221 with its creamy, comfortable and luminous finish. We love it! Lips were also lined using the ultra smooth Mogano Lip Pencil.
And here are the beautiful results! What are your thoughts? Leave a comment to let us know!
