Therefore, it is not only provides relief for allergies, but colds, coughs, sinusitis, asthma and bronchitis as well. Diffuse five drops of peppermint essential oil and let those nasal muscles relax making it easier for your body to do its job and clear out the mucus and allergens.
Basil Oil has powers to support the adrenal glands, which are involved in producing over 50 hormones. Studies have proven that basil oil can kill bacteria, yeast and mold that affect asthma and other respiratory damage. Add a drop of basil oil to any of your meals, soups, salads, anything you want just add them.
Eucalyptus Oil has that miracle sensation of making everything feel cold, man do I love that feeling. This sensation helps improve airflow and opens up the lungs and sinuses, in turn making circulation of air a bit better. Like Peppermint Oil, it is an expectorant, meaning breaks up mucus, and assists in cleansing the body of toxins and allergens. Diffuse five drops of the essential oils in your home or you may also apply it topically to your chest and temples. Even better is to add a few drops to boiling water and cover your face and bowl hovering the boiling water and just inhale for about 5 minutes.
Butterbur, a type of marsh plant, is mostly used as a natural remedy for migraines, but administered in oil extract or in pill form can be an effective treatment for nasal allergies. It has similar effects as antihistamine, but without the drowsiness.
The infamous apple cider vinegar, which is all the rage in the natural homeopathic world, increases potassium, which helps with runny noses. It also helps break up the mucus in the body. Clear those nasal passages by adding it to water with lemon juice.
